New Jersey Policemen’s Benevolent Association was founded in 1896, and
has grown to over 30,000 municipal, county, state, and federal law
enforcement members. The PBA has over 300 locals across the state of New
Jersey.
The NJ State PBA over the years has “performed”, not promised to take
action on matters of importance to law officers and their families. The
organization has been and will continue to be “united” in its fight for better
working conditions, higher salaries, more benefits, and greater pensions.
The NJ State PBA, as with all successful organizations, has its imitators.
Every now and then disgruntled, misinformed or misguided individuals
attempt to splinter police unity for personal gains. They promise much but
produce little. Do not be misled by ambitious people who promise anything
for personal power. They are out to destroy, not build. The “Common
Ground” of all New Jersey law enforcement officers must take precedence
over personal ambition.
